A whitewater rafting trip is one of the best ways to experience the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument. The Cache Creek river is the perfect family-friendly river for you to navigate through splashy Class II-III rapids and bouncy waves, with occasional calmer waters where you can enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery and abundant wildlife that includes bald eagles, black tail deer, tule elk, black bear, turtles, river otters, beavers and many other species of birds.
This self-guided trip takes approximately 2-4 hours to complete. Since there is no river guide in your raft, we have strategically placed staff along some of the more challenging rapids as well as a sweep boat to ensure your safety.
After a brief orientation, you'll be geared up with your life jacket, paddle, lunch and boat before departing on your river adventure. Once on the river, you'll navigate your way through a magnificent canyon filled with towering cliff walls and oak tree covered landscape, all the while navigating the many class II and III rapids. Stop along the way to enjoy a refreshing swim in the cool mountain water before indulging in a river side picnic.
Please bring plenty of drinks in a soft-shelled cooler, as beverages are not provided.
* Please note that storing wallets and other valuables is the sole responsibility of each rafter
We take digital photographs of our Saturday guests going through Mother, the largest and the most exciting rapid on Cache Creek. All photographs are free and are posted on our Facebook page. We do not take any photos on Sunday.
